LOFA members were treated to two brilliant days of sunshine, great golf and good company at this year’s members-only Golf Event, held on 26–27 May at The Oxfordshire Golf, Hotel & Spa near Thame, Oxfordshire.
Set against the backdrop of the championship course in the heart of the Chilterns, the event was the perfect chance for members to step away from the day job, catch up with familiar faces and strengthen relationships across the outdoor living sector.
On Day 1, Dometic’s Paul Smith took the Best Individual title, with LOFA Honorary Member Paul Facey close behind as runner-up. The Best Team of Four prize went to Paul Smith (Dometic), Iain Mercer (Associate Member), Martin Sobey (Napoleon) and Richard Newton (Woodlodge), with second place going to Sven Ledrich (Enders), Steve Morgan (Zest Outdoor Living), Pravin Patel (Honorary Member) and Nigel Hampson (Garden Impressions). Nearest the Pin went to LOFA Chairman Alwyn Williams (Zest Outdoor Living) and Phil Wood (Dometic), while Richard Newton (Woodlodge) claimed the Longest Drive.
Day 2 kept the momentum going, with the Best Team of Four prize awarded to Paul Clews (Hex), Sven Ledrich (Enders), Paul Smith (Dometic) and guest player Pearl Mercer. Nearest the Pin went to Associate Member Iain Mercer and guest James Whitley, and Hex’s Neil Lafford took home the Longest Drive prize.
LOFA Chairman and event host Alwyn Williams summed it up perfectly:
“Our golf day is always a highlight of the LOFA calendar – it brings members together, builds relationships and reminds us what a positive, collaborative industry this is.”
A huge thank you to all the LOFA members who joined us and helped make the 2026 LOFA Golf Event such a success.
